Seven counts ‘Betty’ as top show

'Ugly' hit bows to 2 million

SYDNEY — “Ugly Betty” has proved the hit that Seven had hoped, bowing to an aud of 2 million on Sunday. Skein was the No. 1 show of the night against competition from Nine’s “60 Minutes” and Ten’s “The Biggest Loser” weigh-in.

“Betty” capped off a good night for Seven — tipped to take the crown in this year’s ratings battle from perennial winner Nine — which also saw the return of “Grey’s Anatomy” to 1.6 million. “Grey’s” was the second most-watched show of the night, and the third was also on Seven: new talent show entry “Australia’s Got Talent” (1.6 million).
