New exec producer for WCBS 11 p.m. slot

Call the position “anchor management”: Former senior producer on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” Lauren Petterson has been tapped by WCBS-TV’s prexy and general manager Peter Dunn to become exec producer of station’s 11 p.m. newscast. Petterson will oversee all editorial content and production for the weeknight evening news program, as well as managing and interacting with anchors, reporters, and production staff.

“Lauren has the newsroom experience and leadership skills we look for here at CBS 2,” said VP and news director David Friend.” Petterson had been at Fox News since April, and before that spent several years at WB11′s “Morning News,” where she became an exec producer in 2002. She succeeds Jerry Andrews, who is now with CNN.
