Rose d'Or Festival unveils new groups

HOLLYWOOD — Lucerne’s Rose d’Or Festival for TV content unveiled three revised categories and three new ones in its call for competition submissions Thursday.

The revised categories are gameshow, entertainment and drama; the three new awards celebrate the best program of 2007 and the best entertainer, while an honorary Rose will be awarded to an individual who has made a significant impact on the TV industry.

Awards will be presented at the 48th fest, which runs May 2-6, in the Swiss mountain resort.

Event will be launched at a cocktail reception Saturday at the Swiss Embassy in New York.
