LONDON — Dublin-based media investment firm Motive Television is launching Luminous Prods. to target the U.K. entertainment market.
Luminous is a 50:50 joint venture with entertainment producer Cillian de Buitlear, who has worked with numerous Brit performers including Jonathan Ross, Chris Evans and Paul Merton.
De Buitlear will be managing director of Luminous and has joined the board of Motive Television (Holdings), a subsidiary of Motive, which is quoted on the London Alternative Investment Market.
Motive will provide up to £500,000 ($1 million) in working capital for Luminous.
De Buitlear worked with Motive CEO Mick Pilsworth at Chrysalis TV, which Pilsworth used to run.
