PARIS — Lavish swashbuckling miniseries “Lagardere” won the French export prize for fiction at the Procirep Producers’ Awards on Monday. Kudos recognizes programs that have been sold widely around the world.
“Lagardere” was produced by leading indie Telfrance in collaboration with France 2 and Canal Plus.
Ninja toon “Shuriken School” took the animation prize. French outfit Xilam Animation has seen the skein score well on international outfits Nickelodeon and Jetix, and CITV in the U.K.
“Signe Chanel,” produced by Les Films d’Ici, won for documentary. Distributed by German-French pubcaster Arte, the five-part docu on the thrills and spills surrounding the couture house gearing up for its fall collection, has sold in more than 30 countries so far.
