LONDON — U.K. commercial web ITV has added NBC Universal’s “Bionic Woman” remake and Warner Bros.’ Josh Schwartz drama “Gossip Girl” to its growing slate of U.S. acquisitions, following last month’s L.A. Screenings.
Both series will air on digital channel ITV2, which has also extended its deal for exclusive U.K. rights to a further two seasons of Warner Bros. drama “Supernatural” and four more seasons of HBO’s cult hit “Entourage,” which recently won the international award at Blighty’s BAFTA Television Awards.
“Bionic Woman,” which stars British thesp Michelle Ryan in the lead role of Jaime Sommers, has been acquired under ITV’s first-look deal with NBC Universal.
The network, which has already picked up CBS dramas “Cane” and “Swington” and Warner Bros. “Pushing Daisies,” is also thought to be interested in NBC U’s new detective drama “Life.”
