Sales and production shingle Intl. Film Group (IFG) has opened its doors Down Under.
Group launched at Mip TV where it repped a number of children’s titles including “I Like to Sing” featuring Aussie thesp Justine Clarke (“The Surgeon”) and a range of titles from Aussie comedians such as Arj Barker and Carl Barron.
“The market was very successful for us, we have a number of deals in negotiation including a major European mobile content rights license, and two major licensing and merchandising deals,” said sales topper Sue Woollard.
Woollard added that the group’s skills would be focused on all media to achieve the best results for rights holders.
On the production side, IFG has formed an alliance with Blighty production company Screen Ventures with an eye to producing international TV skeins. Group is headed by Jennie Hughes, former topper of Macquarie Bank’s film and television finance division, which produced pics “Gettin’ Square” and “Dirty Deeds” and has also worked at Southern Star.
