Hoping to flash a little Nielsen bling, Fox is giving away diamond engagement rings in conjunction with the launch of new David E. Kelley skein “The Wedding Bells.”
The net will award 35 diamond rings on March 2 in a contest being coordinated with radio stations across the country. Diamond retailer WhiteFlash.com is providing the rocks.
“The Wedding Bells” revolves around a family-owned wedding planning business. KaDee Strickland, Teri Polo and Sarah Jones play sisters who inherit the firm after their parents divorce.
Skein bows with a special preview episode on March 7, at 9 p.m. (behind “Idol”) before moving into its regular Friday 9 p.m. slot on March 9. Twentieth Century Fox TV and David E. Kelley Prods. are behind the show, which comes from exec producers Kelley, Jason Katims and Jonathan Pontell.
In Los Angeles, Fox-owned KTTV and top 40 radio outfit KIIS-FM will find five listeners to run through and obstacle course and dig through a wedding cake to win a 3-carat diamond ring or one of four 1-carat diamond rings.
