LONDON — Fox Television Studios is closing its London production operation.
Company said the decision to ax the studio was part of an overall examination of its international strategy and operations spearheaded by Fox Television Studios’ new prexy, recently appointed Emiliano Calemzuk.
In a statement combo said: “FtvS will continue to develop and produce high-quality scripted and alternative programming for the U.S. and international marketplaces through production and co-production with broadcasters around the world.”
A company spokesman could not say how many hours the London studio produced, but it seems the output was relatively modest.
It included fare for U.K. hybrid pubcaster Channel 4 and Discovery/TLC.
