Court books more ‘Murder’

Cable network picks up second season

Court TV’s original series “Murder by the Book” has been picked up for a 13-episode second season, premiering later this year.

David Baldacci (“The Collectors”), Lee Child (“The Hard Way”), Harlan Coben (“Promise Me”), Linda Fairstein (“Bad Blood”) and Kinky Friedman (“Kill Two Birds and Get Stoned”) are among the second-season authors who will offer insights into true crime cases. Net plans to announce more authors in the coming months.

The five-episode first season of skein, which featured authors James Ellroy, Michael Connelly and Lisa Scottline, premiered Nov. 13, attracting 1,301,000 total viewers in its first outing.

“Book” is produced by Digital Ranch for Court TV.
