Chellomedia takes control at Minimax

Company buys remaining shares

LONDON — Chellomedia, the European content arm of Liberty Global, has bought the remaining 50% of Central European tyke web Minimax.

Now that it wholly owns the channel, which it acquired half of in 2004, Minimax will become part of Chellomedia’s Central Europe TV biz, which also includes two sports channels and a joint venture with MGM.

Mimimax airs via local language feeds in Hungary, the Czech and Slovak Republics, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro.
