CABLEready goes Latin American

Universal and Infinito take nonfiction fare

CABLEready, an East Coast -based distribution company, has just concluded deals with Latin American networks Universal Channel, Infinito and TNT Latin America for various nonfiction fare.

Universal Channel has picked up 60 new episodes of the true-crime series “Medical Detectives,” while Infinito snapped up 22 hour-long episodes of the urban legend investigation series “Mostly True Stories” and a bio special called “the Real Saddam.” TNT Latin America renewed “Hollywood One on One,” an inside look at Tinseltown movies.

“The success of established series like these as well as new favorites like the Thomas Friedman specials reiterates the growing demand for cutting-edge, topical and entertaining programming in Latin America,” said Cableready prexy-CEO Gary Lico.
