BARCELONA — Spain’s BRB Intl. will announce at NATPE that it is moving into production on a second season of its popular paunchy polar bear toon “Bernard.”
Skein also will generate a theatrical feature, to be released by 2009, and BRB is studying a cell phone version of the series.
The second season of 52 episodes rolls off a swathe of international licensing deals, including sales to the Cartoon Network for the U.S. and Eastern Europe, Disney for Latin America, BBC for the U.K., M6 in France, ABC in Australia and RTI/Mediaset and Nickelodeon for Italy.
Italy’s Seven, France’s Evasion Communication and Germany’s WB Compagnie are prepping a broad range of merchandising deals for the series.
