SYDNEY — Fresh from a kudo win at TV Week’s Logie Awards, thesp Susie Porter is set to star in a new drama “East of Everything,” which will being lensing in northern Australia next month.
Six-part skein tells the story of a travel writer forced to return to a small Aussie town when his mother dies. Porter will be joined by Richard Roxburgh (“Van Helsing”), who will play the central character, who has to come to terms with his mixed feelings about his home.
“East of Everything” features a wealth of Aussie drama talent. It was created by scribes Deb Cox (“SeaChange”) and Roger Monk (“The Secret Life of Us”). Helmers include Stuart McDonald (“The Secret Life of Us”, “SeaChange”) and Matthew Saville (new feature “Noise”, “The Surgeon”).
