Nine adds 'Cold Blood,' 'Earth' to weekend sched
SYDNEY — Nine Network has been on a buying spree in the U.K. picking up a slew of skeins to help shore up its weakened ratings.Web has bought Blighty nature skein “Life in Cold Blood” from the BBC, the final part in the “Life on Earth” series by David Attenborough; series 3 of “Hotel Babylon”: series two of “Primeval”: and the seventh outing of “Waking the Dead.” Web has also inked with Shed Prods. for “Rock Rivals” a new skein by “Idol” creator Simon Cowell. Skein, meshing drama and aud voting, is based around an “Idol”-style comp where viewers can vote for the ending they want .
