Executive VP will assume his post Nov. 1

TOKYO — Shoji Udagawa has been appointed executive VP and head of international at Asian Contents Center, tasked to produce pic and TV projects for the domestic and global markets.

Launched in March with coin form Avex Group Holdings, Wowow and other media companies, ACC plans to bow a TV program production fund to make programs with Japanese and Asia partners, including pubcaster NHK. Udagawa will assume his post Nov. 1.

Meanwhile, Udagawa has taken a post as business affairs adviser with Filosophia Entertainment Alliance, an entertainment consultancy serving Japanese and international clients in such areas as financing, co-producing and marketing.

Previously executive vice president in charge of servicing foreign sales companies, Udagawa will use his biz advising skills for local clients, including UniJapan and VIPO (Visual Industry Promotion Organization).
