Arkaga buys Parthenon

Equity firm takes factual, kids' specialist

LONDON — Private equity combo Arkaga has bought U.K. based factual and children’s specialist Parthenon Entertainment for an undisclosed sum.

The initiative is designed to create a new force in the production and distribution of family-friendly fare in the U.K., U.S. and Germany.

Parthenon’s library will join forces with rights combo Entara, already owned by Arkaga, under the leadership of ex-Hit topper Carl Hall, who becomes CEO of the new combo.

Their combined sales are in the region of $16 million.
