'Shaq's Big Challenge' can't find audience

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” was the only thing with a pulse in primetime on Tuesday. ABC’s “Shaq’s Big Challenge” was audience-challenged in its premiere, and it was another woeful night for Fox’s “On the Lot.” CBS did surprisingly well with its 8 p.m. “NCIS” repeat in viewers.

The two-hour dose of “Talent” led the night with an average 3.7 rating/12 share in adults 18-49 and 11.4 million viewers overall, according to Nielsen prelims. “Challenged” opened in the 9 p.m. hour with a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall, but that was still enough to best Fox’s “Lot” (1.1/4 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall).

The news was better for ABC at 10 p.m. with the debut of “Primetime: Family Secrets,” which drew 2.1/6 in 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers. Still, NBC’ led the hour with an encore “Law & Order: SVU” (2.8/8 in 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall). CBS’ peak of the night came at 8 p.m. with the “NCIS” seg (1.7/6 in 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall).
