Victoria Beckham says “no” to size 0 models
On the one hand, I laud Victoria Beckham for banning size 0 models from promoting her new jean line. On the other hand, I wonder if size 2 models are really all that much healthier or bigger? (She did not specify which size models she prefers, after all.) Hell, I can leapfrog from a size 6 to a size 8 in about fourteen spoonfuls of crème brulee. Really, most models are typically about 5’-feet-9” or taller. To be that height and a size 0 or even a size 2, a woman’s weight can’t exceed about 115 pounds. That means that every inch of her blood, flesh and bones must weigh no more than 1.6 pounds! A peek at Posh’s website, www.DVBstyle.com notes that news of the denim wear will debut shortly. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, a Hollywood stylist once told me that she has to lie to one of her star clients about her waist size. “I have to cut out the label on her jeans because she refuses to believe that she is a 26, not a 25,” she says.
She’ll probably celebrate her 29th birthday until she hits menopause!
