With the circus atmosphere of Gotham’s “Shrek The Third” preem, Will Arnett blended right in looking wild-eyed and grinning, like a deranged clown.
The funnyman towered over children like a stilt-walker as they made Shrek crowns, munched chicken wraps and waited for the show.
James Gandolfini swept through with his son, while Maya Rudolph and Amy Sedaris had manic smiles plastered on their faces. Speaking of manic, Amy Poehler robotically repeated to the young fans gathered: “Hi girls!” and “awesome,” like a broken kids show host.
John Krasinksi from “The Office,” fresh from wrapping George Clooney’s “Leatherheads,” teetered down the carpet, as he discussed stepping into the animation world.
“It’s totally different,” he said. “I had to turn it up a little because “The Office” is so subdued.”
Finally, Mike Myers closed the carpet show and chatted about his new project “The Love Gun,” while helping out a photographer who had her lense cap on.
“Um, you might want to take off the lens cap. Works better. Just trying to help.”
