‘Golf’ links August Wilson actors

Vets of previous productions appeared onstage

The aud at the opening night of August Wilson’s final play, “Radio Golf,” at Broadway’s Cort Theater Tuesday, could take pleasure in connecting the dots between the scribe’s last work, set in the 1990s, and the preceding nine plays that cover the rest of the 20th century.

Vets of previous Wilson productions, Anthony Chisholm and John Earl Jelks, appeared onstage alongside co-stars Harry Lennix and Tonya Pinkins. And when two characters traced their lineage back to one in the play about the first decade of the century, that ancestor looked on from the audience — in the form of thesp-helmer Ruben Santiago-Hudson, who played the man in “Gem of the Ocean” in 2004.
