Three also honored with Civic Awards

HOLLYWOOD — Eight honorees received Multicultural Motion Picture Assn. scholarships Friday during the 14th annual Student Filmmakers Pre-Oscar luncheon at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Three individuals were also honored with Civic Awards: Paula Madison, prexy-g.m. of KNBC; Angel Rivera, the Screen Actors Guild’s national director of affirmative action and diversity; and singer Marlene Dove.

The MMPA is a non-profit org dedicated to assisting future filmmakers from all cultural backgrounds.
