Kathleen Canham Ross, head of Army’s entertainment liaison office

She aided onscreen depictions of U.S. Army

Kathleen Canham Ross, head of the U.S. Army’s entertainment liaison office, died May 9 in Woodland Hills, Calif. from complications following breast cancer treatment. She was 53.

Canham Ross served in the Office of the Chief of Public Affairs Los Angeles Branch for more than 21 years. The office provides assistance to film and TV producers making productions that depict the U.S. Army. Among productions during her time at the Los Angeles branch were “Black Hawk Down,” “We Were Soldiers,” “Transformers” and “The Invasion.”
