Former WMA agent sets up own company

Former William Morris TV lit agent Jeff Wise is shifting to the management biz, setting up his own company.

Under the Insight Management banner, Wise — who spent six years at WMA — will focus on repping writers and producers. He’ll also produce select projects.

Initial clients for the company include David S. Rosenthal (“Gilmore Girls”), Daniel Cerone (“Dexter”), Jessica Queller (“Gossip Girl”), Linda Gase (“Crossing Jordan”), Steve Holland (“Rules of Engagement”) and Tim Edwards (“Girlfriends”).

“As artists’ interests become more diverse,” Wise said, “I felt I could best serve my clients by spending more time on less people than from within a traditional agency structure.”

Wise launched his showbiz career in the mid-1990s, helping to launch Vision Arts Management. He then worked at Major Clients Agency (whose remnants are now part of Paradigm) before signing up with WMA.
