Sylvia Rothblum has been promoted to senior VP and managing director for German-speaking territories in Europe at Warner Bros. Intl. Television Distribution.
Rothblum will supervise WBITD’s operations in German-speaking Europe, overseeing the licensing of the Hollywood studio’s content including TV, theatrical motion pictures, telepics and animation to free and pay TV operators over terrestrial, cable, satellite and IPTV platforms, as well as to fledgling ad-supported and subscription VOD clients.
The promotion was announced Thursday by WBITD president Jeffrey Schlesinger, and Warner Bros. Entertainment Germany president and managing director Willi Geike.
Based in Munich, Rothblum will report to Robert Blair, senior VP for Northern Europe at WBITD, and to Geike.
Rothblum served as VP for German-speaking territories since joining WBITD in 2002.
Before WBITD, she worked at German producer-distributor EM-TV for four years and before that, had stints at Nickelodeon and with the Kirch Group.
