Former Pepsi exec will report to Folta

Viacom has hired Kelly McAndrew, former senior director of communications for Pepsi, as a veep in its communications office, reporting to Viacom’s exec veep of corporate communications Carl Folta.

McAndrew will serve as Folta’s deputy in the day-to-day running of the department. She will also consult with the PR dvisions across the conglom and oversee financial communications and communications on legislative and regulatory issues.

Conglom has seen a number of changes in its PR ranks, with Carole Robinson moving over to MTVN and Jeanine Liburd recently departing for Viacom’s BET.

Company will also be bringing on a manager in the department, said communications veep Jeremy Zweig.

McAndrew had been the primary spokeswoman for Pepsi. She previously served as a PR exec at Texaco for about a decade.
