Extra week needed to assemble DVD reels

The TV Academy’s timetable for sending out its screeners for at-home Primetime Emmy Awards judging is being pushed back a week to give the Acad more time to assemble the compilation DVD reels.

Creative Arts DVDs will be sent off Aug. 6 and the DVDs for the primetime telecast noms on Aug. 13. Move was made because the Acad needed more time to gather all the master DVDs and make the necessary dubs for the thousands who participate in at-home judging. Acad had planned to send out the Creative Arts on July 30 and the primetime telecast noms on Aug. 6.

The voting deadlines remain the same: Aug. 24 for Creative Arts and Aug. 31 for telecast, giving members about 2½ weeks to watch and vote.

Emmy nominations are set to be unveiled July 19. The Creative Arts Emmys are Sept. 8 at the Shrine and the telecast kudos are set for Sept. 16, to be broadcast by Fox, at the same locale.
