TLC has reinforced its commitment to setting up headquarters in Los Angeles by hiring Regina DiMartino as exec VP of marketing, a newly created post.
DiMartino has resigned as exec VP of global marketing for the Fox TV Studios, where, not coincidentally, her boss was Angela Shapiro-Mathes. TLC announced on April 17 that Shapiro-Mathes was leaving as president of Fox TV Studios to become prexy-general manager of TLC, which would move its base of operations from Silver Spring, Md., to L.A.
Shapiro-Mathes, who officially joined TLC on Monday, said DiMartino will run the net’s marketing, advertising and branding and will ride herd on digital content and communications.
At Fox TV Studios, DiMartino developed and produced original content for digital platforms, among other things.
Before Fox, DiMartino was senior VP of marketing, advertising and promotion for ABC Family, where she also worked with Shapiro-Mathes, who was president of the network at the time. Earlier, DiMartino performed the same marketing functions for ABC’s daytime lineup.
