Entertainment Rights' pre-tax profits up 31%

LONDON — British kids’ favorite “Postman Pat” will finally deliver mail to U.S. kids following a deal between the U.K.’s Entertainment Rights and U.S. tyke net Qubo.

Announcement came as Entertainment Rights, which bought U.S. children’s right holder Classic Media for $210 million last year, announced pre-tax profits for the year to Dec. 31 up 31% to $14.8 million as sales fell 3% to $56.4 million.

“Postman Pat,” a staple of preschool TV schedules in the U.K. for more than two decades, will bow in the U.S. this fall on Qubo, NBC, Telemundo and ION Television in English and Spanish.
