Network rolls out new reality roster

Taking a page from the ABC and Fox playbooks, NBC has decided to kick off its summer slate early.

Peacock will begin rolling out its off-season reality roster on May 29 with the second season premiere of “America’s Got Talent.” Skein will open with a two-hour seg from 8-10 p.m., then settle into a regular 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot.

Next out of the gate: “Last Comic Standing,” which will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m. beginning June 13. It will also have a two-hour premiere.

A few days later, Peacock will unveil “Age of Love,” the only new reality concept it has announced for the summer. Hosted by Mark Consuelos, skein will air Mondays at 10 p.m., starting June 18.

Net has been mum regarding the details of the romance-themed “Age of Love,” which it announced last month during a pre-upfront presentation to advertisers.

NBC also said it plans to bring back “The Biggest Loser” in late summer, but didn’t announce a firm premiere date.

All three of the Peacock’s returning reality skeins will feature new hosts. Jerry Springer is taking over “Talent,” Bill Bellamy will emcee “Comic” and Alison Sweeney is the new face of “Loser.”
