Company sets up a Global Media group
National Geographic has set up a Global Media group encompassing TV, film, radio, digital media, magazines, book publishing and maps, naming Tim Kelly president.Two executives will work closely with Kelly in the new group: John Q. Griffin, executive VP of the National Geographic Society, and Nina Hoffman, exec VP of the Society and president of book publishing. Nat Geo’s headquarters are in Washington. John Fahey, president and CEO of the Nat Geo Society and Kelly’s boss, said the group will bring about more coordination among all of the various divisions of the company.
