‘Kath & Kim’ hit in ratings

Shows draws 2.5 million

Laffer “Kath & Kim,” which recently defected from pubcaster the ABC to rival commercial web Seven Network, had a boffo bow for its fourth season, drawing 2.5 million eyeballs.

The figure is a record for the show, beating the telemovie “Da Kath & Kim Code,” which drew an aud of 2.1 million for the ABC.

The bow gave Seven a convincing win on the night with a 32.2% share against 25% for Nine and 18.4% for Ten; skein itself had a 50% share or better in all the major capital cities.

“Kath & Kim” is one of Down Under’s few comic exports, selling to more than a dozen territories; NBC is remaking the skein Stateside.
