Red-carpet freelancers covered
The Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has organized the below-the-line employees working on red-carpet broadcasts for E! Channel.IATSE said Monday that the deal covers camera, sound and videotape personnel working at pre- and post-awards show telecasts for this year’s Oscars and Grammys along with the Golden Globes and SAG Awards. Deal, covered under the FRB Prods. banner, was reached after IATSE established that it already repped a majority of the FRB crew. IATSE said the pact’s part of its ongoing organizing of freelance broadcast techs who cover live events such as awards shows and sporting events.
