Company ups Steve Plutte to production post

Reality-docu production shingle Homerun Entertainment is expanding its operations with the appointment of Greg Spring as VP of development.

Spring joins L.A.-based Homerun after working in development at Pie Town Prods., and he created and produced the Paramount-syndicated daytime strip “Life Moments.” A former TV journalist, Spring began his exec career in development at King World Prods., where he worked on series including “The Roseanne Show” and “The Martin Short Show.”

In his new gig at Homerun, Spring will oversee all of the company’s broadcast, cable and broadband development activities.

Homerun also has promoted Steve Plutte to VP of production, overseeing all production and post-production operations. He joined the company at its inception in 2002 as coordinating producer.

Homerun is headed by Barry Gribbon, a former exec with Scripps Networks. Company has produced programming for WE, Food Network, Fine Living, Discovery’s DIY net and HGTV.com.
