Former WMA exec heads to Fox PR

Petrikin to fill top public relations spot

Chris Petrikin has joined 20th Century Fox as its top public relations exec, following a five-year stint at the William Morris Agency.

Petrikin will oversee the studio’s internal and external corporate communications and strategy as well as its corporate advertising and charitable projects.

“Chris is a strategic thinker who brings a unique blend of entertainment business knowledge and journalism experience to the table,” said Tony Sella, who along with Pam Levine is co-prexy of domestic theatrical marketing at Fox.

Petrikin, who was senior VP of communications at WMA, spent five years working at Daily Variety as a reporter and editor. He also was executive editor of publications for the Writers Guild of America West; has freelanced to numerous print and online publications, and was film editor of and exec editor of Inside Magazine.
