LONDON — ITV’s U.S.-based acquisitions topper Jayne Ferguson is quitting after two years in the job.
Based in Los Angeles, Ferguson was the first senior television executive hired by ITV to liaise daily with the U.S. studios on their home turf.
She worked previously as a topper at 20th Century Fox and CBS in New York and Los Angeles.
Jay Kandola, director of acquisitions at ITV, said: “Jayne has been central to our good relationships with U.S. studios and distributors and has been a source of extremely useful programming information and market intelligence, which have fed directly into the acquisition of American series and feature films.”
Ferguson will continue in her present role until a successor is found.
