Forget Paris — E! is now all about Kim.
As it bids farewell to “The Simple Life,” cabler has greenlit production on an untitled reality skein to be toplined by another socialite: Kim Kardashian. Ryan Seacrest and Bunim-Murray are exec producing the project, which is described as an unscripted family comedy revolving around Kardashian, her siblings and stepdad Bruce Jenner.
Kardashian is a regular on the Hollywood social circuit and works as a model, actress and entrepreneur.
“At the heart of this series — despite the cat fights and endless sarcasm — is a family that truly loves and supports one another,” Seacrest said.
Kardashian, 26, and sisters Kourtney and Khloe are the daughters of lawyer Robert Kardashian. They have two half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie, while mom Kris serves as Kim’s manager. E! said the skein would follow the “Brady Bunch”-like dynamics of the blended brood, with former Olympian Jenner serving as the conservative father figure overseeing a large group of what the net called “hormonal” women.
Seacrest and Eliot Goldberg created the series and will exec produce, along with Jon Murray and Jeff Jenkins. Bunim-Murray exec produced “The Simple Life,” which began on Fox and is now ending its run this summer on E!
