GM presided over network's transformation

Court TV has awarded exec VP stripes to Marc Juris, the net’s general manager.

Juris, who became g.m. in November 2004, has presided over a transformation of the network that will climax Jan. 1 when it becomes TruTV, branching out beyond criminal justice into more broad-gauged reality programming in the hope of harvesting younger viewers.

Before Court TV, Juris spent eight years at Rainbow Media Holdings, where he rose to president of the Fuse Network, an all-music channel that invited viewers to choose, via the Internet, some of the musicvideos played on air. Earlier in his Rainbow career, Juris was senior VP and then general manager of AMC.
