Comcast SportsNet has named Bill Bridgen executive VP and general manager of the company’s regional sports network in New England.
On the same day, Comcast SportsNet elevated Ted Griggs from actingVP and g.m. for the Bay Area sports regional, to official g.m.
For the last three years, Bridgen was exec VP of distribution and network development for Comcast’s owned or managed networks, including E! Entertainment TV, Golf Channel, Versus, Style, Sprout, G4, AZN and various regional sports networks.
Bridgen succeeds David Woodman, who has resigned.
Griggs has served as acting g.m. of Comcast’s Bay Area regional since March, joining the network in 1998 and rising to VP of production and operations.
Both Bridgen and Griggs report to Jon Litner, president of Comcast SportsNet.
