STOCKHOLM — Peter Possne, CEO of Swedish production and distribution company Sonet Film, is ankling to try something new.
He will be replaced by vice CEO Matthias Berggren who will take over Jan. 1.
Possne was mysterious about what his new venture will be. “I can’t say yet what it is about, only that it concerns media, including film,” he told Daily Variety.
During his 25 years at the company, it has turned from an importer of arthouse pics such as “Delicatessen” and “The Big Blue” to producing films by Lukas Moodysson.
Berggren has been with Sonet for four years.
Meanwhile Sonet said Friday that with DVD distrib Pan Vision it has entered a collaboration with Cinema Mondo in Finland and CCV in Norway to import foreign arthouse movies. Titles include Emir Kustarica’s “Maradona.”
