HONG KONG — Katherine Lee has been appointed VP of distribution at ARM Distribution.

New company is handling sales on films jointly produced by the Ruddy Morgan Organization and Applause Pictures’ Peter Ho-sun Chan. These include “Protege,” directed by Derek Yee, and the Chan-helmed “The Warlords.” Latter pic, which has a budget close to $40 million, is lensing with Jet Li, Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro in the lead roles.

From 2001-06 Lee was senior VP of distribution at Hong Kong’s Filmko Entertainment, where she oversaw international distribution of titles such as Ann Hui’s “July Rhapsody,” Daniel Lee’s “Star Runner,” Lo Chi Leung’s “Inner Senses” and “Koma” and Carol Lai’s “The Floating Landscape.”

Since leaving Filmko in 2006, Lee has been working as an independent producer on projects such as pan-Asian horror omnibus “Black Night.”
