A&E has upped Elaine Frontain Bryant, director of nonfiction and alternative programming, to veep.
In her new role, exec will take on the additional job of heading up the net’s lifestyle programming team. She will continue reporting to nonfiction and alternative programming senior VP Rob Sharenow.
Frontain Bryant will also directly oversee some of the cabler’s lifestyle shows, including “Sell This House” and “Big Spender.”
Frontain Bryant has been with the net for two years, exec producing series such as A&E hit “Criss Angel Mindfreak.” She is currently overseeing the net’s upcoming “Paranormal State,” about a group of student sleuths at Penn State U. who use the paranormal to solve crimes.
Frontain Bryant has also worked on series such as Bravo nonscripted series “Blow Out.”
