Morgerman to oversee domestic publicity
Yari Film Group has tapped Jennifer Morgerman as senior VP of publicity to oversee domestic publicity and manage corporate com-munications, awards campaigns and branding initiatives.
Morgerman will oversee the release and awards push for “Resurrecting the Champ,” which opened over the weekend, and “The Accidental Husband,” which launches in February.
Morgerman was head of publicity for Lionsgate Films for seven years and orchestrated the campaigns for “Monster’s Ball,” “The Cooler” and “Secretary.” She also was formerly head of publicity for AFI Fest and began her career in the New York office of Dennis Davidson and Associates.
Since she started, Morgerman has signed an overall deal with ICM to develop, create and negotiate branded entertainment deals between YFG and potential advertisers.
She also recently hired VP of National Publicity Stacey Leinson and Lyndi Heus as director of special projects. Leinson recently concluded a stint at Universal Home Entertainment and Heus was most recently at FX.
