Works will tap Henson’s ‘Water’

Deal comes after $1 million cash injection

The Works U.K. Distribution has acquired all U.K. rights to “Me Shee: The Water Giant,” a $27 million family film from the Jim Henson Creature Shop and directed by John Henderson.

Deal comes after the Works Media Group received a £500,000 ($1 million) injection of fresh capital from Milcoz Films, a production and financing company owned by Costa Theo.

Theo has bought a 13.65% stake in the Works and has become a non-exec director of the publicly listed group.
