William Hamm has been named exec VP of creative development at Starz Media.
Hamm will oversee project development for the company and report to Starz prexy-chief operating officer Kent Rice. He also will work closely with homevid prexy Bill Clark, Film Roman and Starz Prods. prexy Scott Greenberg and Starz Animation Toronto head David Steinberg.
Hamm was most recently exec veep of TV at helmer Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures. Hamm also has been head of scripted series development at Tribune Entertainment, senior VP of scripted drama at Universal TV as well as a consultant to the exec director of the Institute for Creative Technologies, a think tank that helps the Dept. of Defense use the Hollywood community to develop new training techniques in the aftermath of Sept. 11.
