Sony Pictures Television is dialing up a new ad sales exec for its expanding mobile division.
Studio has tapped Michael Couper to serve as senior veepee of strategic operations and mobile advertising, putting him in charge of mobile ad sales and partnerships. He’ll also strike third-party advertising deals across other platforms, including VOD and online.
Couper reports to Sony ad sales prexy Amy Carney, who said Couper will “use his expertise to help us monetize mobile platforms through ad sales.”
After joining Sony in 2003 as director of finance, Couper was eventually upped to VP of business development. He had previously worked at Vivendi Universal.
