Pantle boogies to UTA

Blues man joins agency's music department

Former House of Blues senior talent buyer John Pantle has joined the music department of United Talent Agency as a senior agent.

Pantle was most recently senior agent for three years at the Agency Group. He has primarily represented rock and Latin artists; among the clients he is bringing to UTA are Cafe Tacuba, Molotov, Bebe, Nitzer Ebb and Madness.

Pantle told Daily Variety that he sees film and television as crucial elements in developing the clients he represents on the live music side.

“The business is changing more and more every day, and I look forward to utilizing the opportunities that television and film afford for musical acts,” he said.

Prior to his Agency Group gig, Pantle was national booking director for the Knitting Factory venues in Los Angeles and New York, overseeing the expansion of both venues as well as all marketing operations. He was head of development for the House of Blues Club Network and worked in senior talent buying capacities for House of Blues clubs in Anaheim, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
