Tina Bennett and Eric Simonoff have been upped to directors of top Gotham lit agency Janklow & Nesbit Associates.
Senior partner Morton Janklow said the promotions were designed to recognize the accomplishments of Bennett and Simonoff and “have this younger generation of agents integrated into the operations of the agency, assuring seamless continuity in the future.”
Bennett has been with Janklow since 1994; her client roster includes such bestselling writers as Malcolm Gladwell, Laura Hillenbrand, Eric Schlosser, Atul Gawande and Fareed Zakaria. Simonoff’s list ranges from Pulitzer Prize winners Edward P. Jones and Jhumpa Lahiri to Bill O’Reilly. He’s been with the agency since 1991.
Partner Lynn Nesbit praised the pair for having each built a strong roster of clients and for playing an “essential role” in the management of the company.
Janklow has run his own successful shingle since 1972. Nesbit, former head of ICM’s lit division, joined him as a partner to form Janklow & Nesbit in 1989. Agency’s star-studded scribe list includes Michael Crichton, Tom Wolfe, David McCullough, Robert Caro, Joan Didion, Danielle Steel and Jeffrey Eugenides.
