BERLIN — “Montana Sky,” based on the novel by bestselling author Nora Roberts, has proven a huge hit for pubcaster ARD.

Pic, which stars John Corbett, garnered an impressive 19.1% share, attracting nearly 5.5 million viewers.

“Montana Sky” was also a hit Stateside, where it recently aired on Lifetime Network.

It’s the first of four TV movies based on Roberts’ novels, all co-produced by Stephanie Germain Prods. and Mandalay Entertainment in association with Munich-based Tandem Communications, which is distributing worldwide.

ARD chose four consecutive Thursday night slots to air the Roberts collection.

“Montana Sky” will be followed next Thursday by “Angels Fall,” starring Heather Locklear and Johnathon Schaech, then “Blue Smoke” with Scott Bakula, and “Carolina Moon” starring Claire Forlani.

Roberts has sold over 20 million books in Germany alone and 300 million worldwide.
