Fuji TV won the 2006 ratings wars in the three major categories for the third year running, the Video Research ratings agency announced Thursday.

According to Video Research figures, Fuji averaged a leading 14.2 rating in the golden slot (7 to 10 p.m.), a 14.5 rating in primetime (7 to 11 p.m.) and a 9.3 rating for all day (6 a.m. to midnight) in 2006.

TBS web finished second in golden time (12.8) and primetime (12.7) ratings, while NTV took second in the all day (8.4) category. This marked TBS’ first return to second place in any annual ratings category since 1988.
